Born on Feb. 8, 1931, Dean had a short and dramatic career. He only starred in three films - apart from a few walk-on parts - East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause and Giant. His early death in a car crash cemented his status as an icon of daring, disillusioned youth. (+)
